Perfect is the enemy of done
Mark Valentine Photography has been a passion and labor of love. It started as a place to post progress and to look back and see how far I've come and archive what I have done. In 2013 and 2014 I lost sight of that and turned it into more of a commercial site where I marketed MVP. I'm back to having some more fun here and it being less (if any) about selling photography.
Having something perfect is nearly impossible so posts here will be done. Not perfect but a place to continue documenting life and the many endeavors.

Gary Vee - check it out
The first 30 minutes of this podcast has some quotes that struck me enough to want to save it and look back for inspiration. Right now I am using DogCatcher on my Android phone for podcasts.

A Keynote: Session 2 of Copenhagen Elevate 2017

Description:
The first session I did at Copenhagen Elevate was good, but this one is even better. I go deep into the reasons behind why audio is becoming such a prominent form of content now, one of which directly correlates to the amount of multitasking and attention grabbing we're doing today. With voice, you're able to essentially watch an entire keynote, via voice while driving, or hear your daily briefings while you get ready. I also dive into a Q&A session, elaborating on the importance of empathy, one of my core values, and the true meaning of what having a "passive income" means. There's some really important business insights and life teachings here - give it a listen and let me know your thoughts <3

Little man in 2012
This photo is still a favorite. For a number of years it was my photo when I logged into my computer. What an attitude he had/has! He keeps us on our toes.
Kids these Days - Kano Coding
Our little man wanted a light that helps him learn code. Although he can't read all the instructions and the app is not perfect, he is loving it. Tonight we played around with some of the animations and frame rates.
One of the quirks we've found is that the microphone doesn't seem to work when hooked up to the computer...

Chicago!
This year was my first WEFTEC in Chichago. The wastewater world is huge and a small community all at the same time. Chicago was spectacular.
7 years ago at Della Terra
This is one of the first photographs I remember taking where I thought this was fun and it looked really good. We were at a friends wedding out of town and in the middle of a crowd but this quick snap still makes me think of the early love for photography.

Timber Frame Raising - Inspiration
This has been one of my favorite Youtube channels over the last 6 months or so and this video was the culmination of many months and years of planning. It is far from over but much farther from the start. What an inspiration.
