This weekend I did not shoot a wedding so I took out my camera and played with the ISO and low light, backgrounds and the live shooting feature. The live mode helped me kill the moon shot. I haven't been able to get such a great picture of the moon because I usually over expose it! Thanks to shooting weddings with Amanda Lamb who shoots with some pretty great people in New York I am learning! Trickle down.

Baby B - Rock Ledge Ranch
Our lives have been weaving together for the last 4 or 5 years over thousands of miles. Our sons are in love with these two! The oldest asked nearly constantly when we would get to see Ms. K and Mr. M again. Our family is lucky to know you both and we are so excited for you two to welcome your new blessing. She is one lucky girl.

Newborn - Little Leighton
The Howard's are regulars around here. We did their maternity session for their little girl, another maternity session for the this little guy and most recently a newborn session. What an honor to photograph so many phases and moments in this families lives.
This was my first newborn session after a seminar by Sandy Puc! I was amazed at how quick and efficient everything moved along and it seemed to be very quick for the family. I think from start to finish they were at the studio less than 45 minutes. The little guy was great and is really getting the hang of things at 9 days old! What a little gentleman!

Howard Family Maternity - Manitou Springs
It was a good thing that we pushed to get this families maternity session in a couple weekends ago. Little Leighton was born very soon after. Thank you both so much. It was great to see you all again and spend some time walking the streets of Manitou and watching your little Hailey dance around all day.

Ruben and Jenny - Wedding Day - St Paul - Colorado Springs
Their love for each other was infectious. Jenny couldn't stop smiling all day
long. Ruben was the perfect gentleman from start to finish. These two wanted
to make sure that they included their faith throughout the day and made sure to
talk to everyone there that day.
The morning started with a short rain and clouds in the sky. The air was fresh and cool. The afternoon brought the typical Colorado
blue skies.
Ruben and Jenny expressed a desire to incorporate as many
friends and family into the wedding day as possible. The children Jenny has worked with for some
time helped her with her veil as she walked down the aisle. Their parents brought up the gifts up during Mass. Their family was in the wedding party. They
also have a very special connection to the priest. He is Jenny’s brother!
Ruben and Jenny wanted to start their marriage with a strong
foundation on Jesus. Right after Mass
they invited the guests to pray a rosary with them. Ruben led his new wife and their guests in
their first rosary as a married couple.
The entire day was filled with smiles, hugs all around, old
and new friends, toasts in English and Spanish, chocolate covered strawberry sculptures,
and a deep devotion to Jesus and the merging of two families.
What an honor to witness this marriage. Thank you both.
